Oceanlinx built and deployed an instrumented 1/3rd scale test unit of its Mk2 WEC in late 2007 and early 2008

Following 12 months of extensive engineering and small scale tank tests, MK2, a third scale device was Oceanlinx’s first floating unit installed in an a open ocean environment.
The unit was used to collect data that would later be used to validate smaller scale tank tests. The results of these trials led to the refinement of the unit design.
